| 25.08.2007 15:49 George Wyche | Miscellaneous: Where can I find a YAM manual? I was told in the AmigaWorld.net forums that I should RTFM about a YAM capability of filtering at my ISP based on headers. I am sad to say I have spent 30 minutes and am no closer to finding where TFM is. | Answer |
| 24.12.2007 02:07 Lamar McLouth | Configuration: When I use Genesis, YAM always uses the Genesis user to choose the account. I know I can use the tooltype USER to have it start in a specific account. But is there a way to not have it go to any account and just boot to the list of accounts (like the old 2.4 version)? | Answer |
| 31.03.2008 04:38 Pete Wason | Miscellaneous: As soon as I can, I'm going to upgrade to 2.5, but right now I'm using 2.3p OSLT. I had two accounts set up for my kids, but my son and I both forgot his password. Remembering my daughter's password, I edited the .users file and replaced the line in my son's account's config containing the 3-digit numbers with the same string of numbers from my daughter's config. Cool! now they can both read their mail. Unfortunately, they have the same password. What is the format/meaning of these 3-digit numbers (and the line with a single digit number above them), and is there a way to "officially" change a YAM user's password if it is forgotten, and the above tactic is not an option? Would clearing that line give them a blank password, and then it could be changed from within YAM? | Answer |
| 10.04.2008 06:01 Bart Mathias | Miscellaneous: Since screwing up my OS4 partition and reinstalling it, YAM--which I keep on a totally different partition which was not damaged--has an odd-looking icon. That's OK, I guess, but when I click it, an alert opens saying I need dos.library V51.104 or better to run it. C:version tells me I have V52.2. What do I do next? I'd like to do e-mail in OS4, rather than Linux. | Answer |
| 24.06.2008 18:29 Tjitte de Wolff | Mail editing: May be it's not in the correct category, but this came as close as I could imagine. Is it possible to send an email to a group of recipients in one go? I had to enter all address manually per email. Regards, Tjitte | Answer |
